Description

This is a house, now used as a shop and flat, dating back to the 17th century, but significantly altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled roof covered in tiles. The end stack is of rendered stone, finished in brick. The building originally comprised two units. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A 19th-century open pediment sits above the central six-panelled entrance door, and a stone lintel frames the late 19th-century six-panelled door with two glazed panels to the right. Stone lintels are above the 6-pane sash windows, and the first-floor windows are 6 over 3-pane sashes. A 20th-century dormer window has been added to the roof. The first floor was not inspected during the listing process.
