Description
Lyn Paddock is a house located on Church Lane in Minsterworth, likely dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the mid to late 20th century. The building features timber framing with rendered infill and a shingled roof. It is two bays wide, one and a half stories tall, and one room deep. The framing consists of three panels high and the timbers are relatively slight. The left gable end is rendered and includes a boarded door beneath a single-storey open porch supported by timber posts, with a weatherboarded gable above. The windows are all from the late 20th century, featuring paired two-light casements with small panes, positioned to the right of the door with a timber post between them. There is a long brace post extending to the sill, and a similar pair of windows is located nearby. The right end of the house is rendered. A lean-to dormer on the left has a three-light casement. There is a gable chimney at the left end and an external brick chimney on the right gable, which is set forward of the ridge. A single-storey wing on the right is not of special interest. The interior is not accessible. The house forms a group with Minsterworth Court located opposite.
