Description
The Clarke monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 6 meters south of the east end of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter. It commemorates Miriam Clark, who died in 1759. The tomb is made of stone and features a thick flat lid with cavetto moulding, a plain margin on the north side, and a plain slab on the south side. It has quarter-square gadrooned corner balusters and stylized acanthus leaves on the bulb. The west end is adorned with a crown and winged cherubs' heads, while the east end is plain. There are later inscriptions on the monument.
