Description
No. 98 Tewkesbury Road is a small house, likely built in the late 18th century, with minor alterations made in the mid to late 20th century. The building features an irregular English garden wall bond and has a concrete tile roof. It consists of two bays and is 1½ storeys in height at the front, with a single storey at the rear, and is two rooms deep.
The elevation facing the road includes two 2-light casement windows with arched heads and Y tracery, along with iron opening lights and boarded external shutters. To the right, there is a boarded door situated under an open timber porch, which has boarded sides below the mid rail and a boarded gable. The house also has two gabled dormers, each featuring 2-light casements with arched heads and Y tracery, with late 20th-century wooden opening lights. A chimney rises from the eaves on the left front, while another ridge chimney is located at the right gable. It is noted that the building was said to have once served as a school.
