Description
Longford Court is an 18th-century farmhouse, likely built in the second half of the century. The front of the house is constructed with Flemish bond brickwork, while the sides are roughcast and the roof is slate. It has a five-window front, with the central three bays projecting slightly. The house is two rooms deep and has two and a half storeys, with a single-bay addition on the left end.
The front is symmetrical, featuring a pedimented projecting centre. A plain stone string course runs along the ground floor, with window sills extended to create it. A half-glazed front door is centrally located, featuring small panes and two fielded panels within a moulded surround, topped with a fluted frieze. Either side of the door are sash windows with rubbed brick heads and fluted keystones. The house steps back slightly on either side, and features canted single-storey bay windows on the end bays, with sash windows on each face and a small dentil frieze above, topped with a flat roof. The first floor has five sash windows with rubbed brick arches and fluted keystones, and the window sills extend to match the ground floor. A moulded string course with small dentils sits above the first-floor windows, above which is a plain pediment at the centre, and plain parapets with plain coping on each side. Chimneys are located on the ridge of the roof, on the left gable and one bay in from the right. The rear roof slope is longer than the front. The interior has not been inspected.
