Description
Tudor Cottage is a Grade II listed building located on Trinity Street in Tewkesbury. This structure consists of two houses that were originally one, dating back to the 17th century. It extends as a wing from the property at No. 121 High Street and is partially integrated into it. The building features a square panel timber frame with brick nogging, a tiled roof, and brick stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with a window arrangement of two on the left and one on the right.
At the right-hand end, there is an early 2-light gabled dormer with a scalloped barge-board. On the first floor, you will find two tall 2-light casements with a transom, along with a 20th-century door leading to an external steel staircase and an 18th-century multi-pane 2-light casement beneath a flat hood. The ground floor on the left side includes a 4-light casement and a 20th-century lean-to, followed by another 4-light casement and a plank door with a moulded entablature. The left gable has an attic window and a large external brick stack, while there is a central ridge stack and scalloped eaves board. The interior has not been inspected. Although it was likely built as a single property, it has since been subdivided, with the right half incorporated into the High Street property.
