Description
Quince Cottage is a Grade II listed building originally constructed as two houses in the 16th century, with a 20th-century extension to the rear and right. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill and tile hanging above, along with galleted sandstone on the left-hand return wall. It has a plain tile roof, with a gable end stack on the left and a ridge stack on the right side of the street front. The entrance front is oriented at right angles to the street and is symmetrical, showcasing 20th-century casement windows, three of which are located across the first floor. A central door is situated under a pent roofed porch supported by brackets. The street front displays exposed timber framing and irregular diamond leaded casements, with three windows on the first floor, including one on the left featuring wooden mullions. There are 20th-century wings added to the right.
