Description

Old Pickhurst is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone with decorative brick dressings and bonding courses, and has a plain tile roof with a large, star-shaped stack at the left end. The house is divided into two storeys by a patterned brick band, with an attic space containing tile-hung, hipped dormers. Diamond-patterned leaded mullion and transom windows are present; there are three angle bays on the ground floor, and four windows above, all with shallow arched heads. An early 20th-century brick and tile porte cochere has been added to the right-hand entrance front. A 1930s extension exists at the rear of the property.
