Description
The John Greaves monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary Magdalene, approximately 4 meters south of the southwest corner of the south aisle. This 17th-century tomb is made of limestone and features a cracked inscription panel on the north side, which shows traces of an inscription. At the west end, there is a sunken inscription panel dedicated to John Greaves. The tomb is adorned with a deep frieze that includes a band and ribbed mouldings, topped by a deep capping with a moulded margin.
