Description

This chest tomb, located in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Mary, is dedicated to the Grimstead family. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is situated approximately 7 metres northwest of the west tower. The tomb features marble sides, with a stone base and top. The angles are gadrooned and adorned with cherub heads. The short sides display a coat of arms and a carved allegory representing time and death.
