Description

The farmhouse dates from the 17th and early 19th centuries. The original core is a 17th-century range built with square-panelled timber framing and painted brick infill. Later, in the early 19th century, brick extensions were added, mostly painted. The roof is tiled, and there are brick stacks. The layout is roughly 'L' shaped, with the original 17th-century range connected to 19th-century extensions and outbuildings to the right of the gable and to the rear of the original range.

The 17th-century range is two storeys and has an attic. The front has two gables, and the left-hand gable was restored in 1980. The windows are mostly single-light or two- and three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. A plank door leads to a lean-to porch projecting forwards on the right side of the 19th-century extensions. The 19th-century range is also two storeys and an attic, with 20th-century dormers in the eaves. The ground floor windows are two- and three-light casements with blind segmental heads. The eaves of the 19th-century extensions feature sawtooth and dentil decoration. The 17th-century range has a twin off-the-ridge stack. There are also gable-end and lateral stacks. The interior was not inspected.
