Description

The Gibbs monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 2 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth with an oval panel flanked by rectangular panels on the main sides and an oval panel at each end. It has a moulded flat top. The monument commemorates John Gibbs, who died in 1792.
