Description
This barn, located about 40 meters northwest of Standish Court Farm, is likely from the late 17th century but was altered in the late 18th century. It is constructed from random coursed dressed stone on a plinth, topped with a concrete tile roof. The barn features central opposed hipped cart entries on the north and south sides, which were added in the late 18th century, probably in 1796, as indicated by a date on a beam across the main wall. Both entries have double timber doors, with the south side being recessed. There is a small single-storey concrete lean-to on the north side and a stone lean-to on the south side. Long slit vents are located to the left of each entry and at the gable ends. The interior has been significantly altered, with a first floor at the east end and internal concrete partitions at the west end; the roof structure is not visible.
