Description
This is a detached house located about 110 meters north of the junction to Lower Stone, dating from the mid-19th century. The house is rendered with roughcast faced returns and features a slate roof, with brick end stacks topped with decorative chimney pots. The main range has a small rear wing that is positioned at right angles to the left. The building is two storeys tall and includes a small attic window in the right gable end.
The front facade has two windows, which are 20-pane sashes designed as margin lights, and there is a central recessed blind arch that spans two storeys, with a square blind window recess on the ground floor. On the left-hand return, there is a recessed doorcase featuring a semi-circular soffit, a decorative radial fanlight, and a six-panel fielded door. The entrance is sheltered by an openwork timber porch with a flat roof and Chinoiserie patterns. The front also displays overhanging moulded wood eaves with a modillion cornice. The small rear wing has a pantile roof and features three-light 19th-century casement windows on each floor.
