Description

Court Moat is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with a double Roman tile roof, brick stacks, some with a moulded stone cornice, and a brick parapet above a moulded stone cornice. The house has an L-shaped plan and extends over two storeys and an attic. The principal facade has three windows with segmental brick heads, featuring 3-light wood mullions and transoms with leaded glazing. These windows have enlarged keystones and splayed brick voussoirs. The ground floor has two similar windows and a central door with six fielded panels, sheltered by a 19th-century gabled timberwork porch. A small, central dormer window is gabled and features a stone ball finial and twin leaded casements.
