Description

The White House is an early 19th-century detached house in Alkrington Woodford. It is a double-range building with a lower range to the rear. The front is rendered with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The main facade has three windows, with 16-pane sashes and plain cemented architraves. The ground floor features two canted bays with 4/16/4-pane sashes. A central doorcase is topped by a flat wooden hood supported on brackets, and it contains a six-panel door, the top two panels glazed and the remainder fielded. Corner pilaster strips are made of cement.
