Description
Norton House is a detached house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features brick construction on a stone plinth, with a parapet wall and a slate roof that has coped verges and brick stacks. The house has a two-brick string course and consists of a single front range with two rear ranges that are at right angles and slightly lower in height, with the left-hand range including a two-storey bay window on the left return. The building is two storeys tall and has three windows on the upper floor, which are wood mullion and transom three-light leaded windows set under splayed brick voussoirs with stone keystones. On the ground floor, there are two similar but longer windows, and a central door that has six panels, with the top four being glazed and the lower two being fielded, all topped with a gabled hood supported by brackets.
