Description

This is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century, situated on the south side of Dorchester Road in Maiden Newton. The house is constructed of flint walls with occasional stone banding, featuring large, long and short quoins. The roof is slate-covered, with stone gable copings. Brick stacks have been renewed at each gable. The house has two storeys and three windows. Each window has straight-chamfered stone mullions with separate stone labels; the ground floor windows are three-light, while the upper floor windows are two-light. The windows contain cast-iron casements with glazing bars. A front porch, built of ashlar with a stone gable coping and pitched slate roof, is centrally located. The porch features a depressed-arch head and a multi-glazed door, which is a 20th-century addition.
