Description

This is a mid-19th century house located in Bromfield. It is constructed of stone rubble with timber-frame and brick elements, and has a plain tile roof. A substantial brick stack features decorative spurs and a corbelled cap. The house is two storeys and has a two-window front. The windows are mullioned, with cast-iron lattice glazing in casements, set within box framing. The right-hand side of the front has a stone gable porch with a 20th-century part-glazed door set within a chamfered ashlar three-centred arch, topped with bargeboards and a spike finial. To the left of the porch are two three-light mullion windows, also with cast-iron lattice glazing, and simple wooden hoods. The returned sides feature a two-light mullion window above a three-light mullion window, both with wooden hoods and a spike finial to the gable. A rear outshut has a small window above it.
