Description

Nupend Court, formerly Nupend Farm, is a detached house dating from the late 18th century, with a large 19th-century extension at the rear. The older part is built of pale local brick, while the rear range is constructed of red brick featuring brick dentils, a moulded stone cornice, and stone dressings on a stone plinth. The roof is made of stone slate and has brick end stacks.

The building has a double range, both two storeys high with an attic, but the original range is significantly lower and includes a single-storey wing on the left. The 18th-century range has three windows with 16-pane sashes, which are set widely apart and feature splayed stone voussoirs and a slightly dropped keystone. Between the windows, there are two small gabled dormers on the eaves. The ground floor has three similar windows, with the third window located between the left-hand window and the central door, which has four panels—two fielded on the top and two flush on the bottom. This door is topped by a modern porch hood supported by struts and flanked by narrow plate glass sashes. The wing to the left contains 12-pane sashes.

The rear range features a large projecting stone porch with double half-glazed doors, flanked by plate glass sashes, and has a moulded stone cornice and architrave. The first floor has segmental-headed moulded stone windows, along with three segmental-headed dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
