Description

Rose Tree Cottage is a detached cottage, likely dating from the early 17th century, although it features a plaster date panel from 1901 on the front. The exterior is roughcast and is said to be timber-framed, with a concrete tile roof and a stone stack at the rear. The building has a long range, with a tall single-storey and attic section on the right and a lower section on the left. The central gable end, located to the left of the taller section, has decorative barge boards. Each floor of the gable has a 3-light casement window with intricate patterned leading. To the right, there is a wood lattice gabled porch that includes a door with four moulded recessed panels. Additionally, there is a small square four-pane single light window at each end. The interior is not accessible.
