Description

Millgrove is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick on a plinth of slag blocks, featuring partially rendered quoin strips that extend just below the eaves. The roof is made of stone slate with stone coped verges and kneelers, and there are brick end stacks topped with moulded stone caps. The house is a single range of two storeys and an attic, with a single-storey wing to the left that has a clay tile roof.

The front of the house has two windows with twin casements that have cambered heads; the left window has six panes, while the narrower right window is plain. The ground floor mirrors this arrangement, with a longer window on the left. There are two raking dormers set wide apart, each with twin six-pane casements. A later addition is a projecting gabled brick porch that features a four-panel door. The small wing to the left has a plank door and a twin casement window beneath a single timber lintel, which is immediately adjacent to the main block. This arrangement likely originally extended further left, as indicated by the remaining window and long lintel.
