Description

This is a chest tomb located about 10 meters north of the north-east tower buttress in the churchyard of the Church of St. Kenelm. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top, a moulded plinth, and capping with indented corners. The corners are long and baluster-shaped, with carved end panels depicting three cherub heads and a crown on the west side, and crossed palm leaves, an open book, and an hourglass on the east side. The long sides of the tomb have large oval panels surrounded by carved detailing.
