Description
The Daniel Long memorial is an altar tomb located approximately 2.5 meters north of the sacristy at the Church of St John the Evangelist. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a moulded top and base set on a stylobate, with a frieze and base that includes raised elliptical panels on the east and west sides. The north and south sides have horizontal elliptical panels with edge moulding and carved drapes. The memorial commemorates Daniel Long, who died in 1810.
