Description

The Daniel Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 35 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Clarus. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed sandstone set on a slate plinth, topped with a slate lid. The monument features a moulded plinth and a plain chest with a plain lid. It commemorates Matthew Daniel, who passed away in 1810.
