Description
The walls surrounding the churchyard of the Church of St Clarus to the south and east, along with the south-west gateway, are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed from slatestone rubble and feature granite coping. The walls are approximately one metre high and follow the slope of the ground, with chamfered granite coping. The gateway is flanked by walls on the right and left, which are about 1.5 metres high and made of granite ashlar, with a short return wall, all also featuring chamfered granite coping. There is a 20th-century wrought iron gate at the gateway, as well as another 20th-century wrought iron gate located at the north-east side of the churchyard wall.
