Description
The boundary wall, gate piers, and gate at Lamport Court date from the 18th century. The structure is made of squared and coursed marlstone with a flat weathered limestone coping that returns to the facade of the house at both ends. The wall stands approximately 2 meters high and rises to square piers that are about 8 meters high, featuring limestone moulded cappings. Access is provided by a wrought iron spearhead gate, which is approached by two semi-circular stone steps, followed by two additional steps beyond the landing.
