Description
The boundary wall, gatepiers, and gate to No. 297 on Bloomfield Road date from the mid-19th century. The materials used are limestone ashlar or coursed lias stone. The structure features a pair of square piers with cross-gabled roll top cappings located opposite the house entrance, along with the original cast iron gate. The exterior includes a low lias wall with a heavy weathered capping that spans the width of the house frontage. At each end, there is walling made of heavy ashlar block and coping, approximately 2 meters high, extending the full width of the site. A wide inserted five-bar gate is located to the left, set in dressed jambs.
