BLOOMFIELD ROAD, Odd Down (East side) Boundary wall, piers and gate to No.297

GV II

Boundary wall with gatepiers and gate. Mid C19. MATERIALS: limestone ashlar or coursed lias stone. PLAN: Opposite house entrance pair of square piers with cross-gabled roll top cappings, with original cast iron gate. EXTERIOR: To each side, for width of house frontage, low lias wall to heavy weathered capping, beyond, at each end, is walling in heavy ashlar block and coping, approx 2m high, extending full width of site, but with wide inserted five bar gate inserted to left in dressed jambs.
