Description
Lamport Court is a mid-18th century dwelling, originally a farmhouse. It is constructed of squared and coursed marlstone, with a parapet rebuilt in brick. The roof is tiled, and there are ashlar stacks to the coped gables, including one positioned off-centre to the left. A rear wing, on the right side, incorporates a large 3-light 19th-century casement window with a segmental arch. The main street facade is two storeys and an attic, featuring a six-window arrangement. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within broad sash boxes, with stone cills and wood lintels. A small dormer window is located between bays 1 and 2. A six-panel fielded door, accessed by a flight of three semi-circular stone steps, is situated in bay 2. Inside, there are 18th-century shutters to the front.
