Description

Milestone. Early 19th century. This sandstone pillar measures approximately 450 millimeters by 300 millimeters and has a rounded top. It features a cast-iron plaque that is about 400 millimeters by 500 millimeters, with a semi-circular haunched head. The plaque carries the inscription "NYMPSFIELD" at the top and lists the distances below as "DURSLEY 4 / ULEY 2 / STROUD 5".
