Description

Mill Cottage, located to the north-east of Dursley Mill, is a former row of two houses that has been converted into a detached house. It dates from the late 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition. The southern half of the building is constructed from random rubble that combines limestone and marlstone, while the northern half features coursed rubble limestone with brick arches. It has brick chimneys and a stone slate roof.

The cottage is two stories tall, with a single-storey rear outshut. The front elevation has two-window casement fenestration with timber lintels on the right half, including one window where a door used to be. The left side has single-window casement fenestration with segmental arches, and a segmental-arched doorway to the right that features a plank and cover strip door. The north-west end of the building is blank and has a ridge-mounted chimney. The rear includes a ground floor casement with a timber lintel and a small upper floor round-arched casement with glazing bars. There is an outshut on the left half of the rear elevation, which has a 20th-century gabled roof dormer. The interior has not been inspected. Mill Cottage is part of a group with Dursley Mill and the farmhouse.
