Description

The building is a former stables and coach-house, now converted into a house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick with ashlar dressings and features coursed rubble tufa at the rear, topped with an asbestos cement slate roof. The structure is a rectangular block with an attic, and the older two-storey section is located at the east end.

The front facade has a central section that projects forward, with windows arranged in a 1:1:1 pattern. These windows are rounded-headed glazing bar sashes set within round-headed arcading, which is connected by a plain band at the impost level and features a keystone on the outer two bays. To the right, there is a small-paned casement and a 20th-century door, both with timber lintels.

On the west end, there are two doorways with brick flat arches, with the right doorway being blocked. Above these doorways is a keyed oculus, which contains a small round-arched light with glazing bars. The rear of the building has a scattered arrangement of mixed sash windows. The stables are linked by outbuildings to Ferney Hill.
