Description
This is a town house located in a row, dating from around 1830. It was previously known as Stanthill Villa. The house is constructed of Flemish bond red brick, with coursed rubble limestone to the sides and rear, and has brick chimneys and a patent diagonal sheet roof. It is two storeys high with an attic. The front of the house has a three-window arrangement. Single-storey bows with 12-pane sashes are located on the ground floor, with two smaller 8-pane sashes on either side of a doorway. The doorway has a moulded timber architrave and a fielded 6-panel door. The upper floor has three 16-pane sashes, each with a gauged brick flat arch above. A brick modillion cornice runs below a plain parapet. There is a gabled roof dormer with 19th-century casement windows. Tall ridge chimneys are situated at each end of the roof. The rear of the house was not accessible for inspection, and the interior remains unexamined.
