Description
Dell Farmhouse is an early to mid-19th century farmhouse constructed from good limestone with an ashlar finish and a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys, and the entrance front features a hipped stone porch with a segmental arch leading to a 20th-century plank door, which is flanked by two small single lights. To the right of the porch is a 2-light flush chamfer casement, and both the porch and this window are covered by a continuous stopped drip. On the first floor, there is a 3-light mullioned casement. The left return front consists of two bays with 2 over 3-light chamfered mullion casements, all also under a stopped drip. There is a small eaves stack to the left of the porch and another at the right gable. The rear of the farmhouse features an additional eaves stack and 2-light casements, along with a lean-to extension. The farmhouse is likely situated on an early farm site, but no evidence of this remains.
