Description
Hoades Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from deeply-coursed, squared limestone with a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three windows on the first floor. It now occupies part of a farm building range to the rear right. The ground-floor openings have been altered and include a 20th-century gabled porch flanked by two-light casements that have glazing bars, projecting sills, and plain lintels. On the first floor, there are original square-faced surrounds to the casements, which have glazing bars arranged in groups of two, one, and two lights, although the mullions of the outer windows have been removed. The farmhouse has shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings, as well as ashlar end stacks that feature bands and cornices. The right side of the building has a lower range of farm buildings that have been converted into dwellings and are partly occupied by Hoades Farmhouse, but these are not of special interest.
