GILDINGWELLS WOODSETTS ROAD SK58NE (west side) 3/31 Barn immediately to west of Sunny Bank Farmhouse

Barn. Probably early C17. Red, rubble sandstone) pantile roof. Tall, single- storey, 4 bays. Some large quoins. Flat-arched cart entrance to bay 3 has lean-to outshut on its left and triangular slit vents on right. Rear: door opposes cart entrance, other later openings. Interior: steeply-pitched roof with principle-rafter trusses, wind-braced purlins and common rafters halved and pegged at the apex. Lower addition to left return not of special interest.
