Description

The Hollows is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of squared coursed limestone with quoins. It has an artificial stone-slate roof and brick and stone end stacks. The building’s plan is L-shaped, and the front elevation features a 3-window range, each window being a two- or three-light casement with old wood lintels. A 20th-century plank door, also with an old wood lintel, is set within a gabled porch in the centre-right of the building. A blocked doorway with an old wood lintel is located centrally to the left. Additional two- and three-light casements are found in the rear left gabled wing, which are also 20th-century additions. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
