Description

The Double Lodges are a pair of dwellings dating from around 1830. They are constructed from squared and shaped coursed limestone, featuring a plinth, quoins, and Dutch-style coped gables on kneelers. The roof is tiled with fish-scale tiles, and has stone and brick ridge and end stacks. The buildings are arranged in a T-shape and are built in a Domestic Tudor style. The front facade is two storeys high with a two-window range, featuring two-light mullioned windows with hood moulds and labels. A Dutch gabled-style porch has a plank door set within a four-centred chamfered surround. The left facade includes two canted bays with mullioned windows on the ground floor and two two-light mullioned windows on the first floor. A single-storey rear range features a plank door within a four-centred chamfered surround. The interior has not been inspected.
