Description
This milepost, likely erected around 1818, is located on the west side of the A3400, approximately 285 meters north-north-west of Broadmoor Lodge. It features a cylindrical-fluted base topped with a tall, fluted cast-iron shaft that has decorative bud-like forms on the lower section. The shaft is adorned with wrought-iron scrollwork arms that include simple acanthus leaf embellishments. These arms support a wooden place name board from the early 21st century, although the original board is no longer present. At the top of the shaft, there is additional acanthus leaf decoration.
