Description
Highfold Farm House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Painswick. It is constructed of coursed and squared limestone with a stone slate roof, although the back features a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of three windows. There are three 2-light stone casements over two 3-light chamfered mullion windows, which flank a large six-panel door that includes two oval lights and two panes of glass. This door is set within a Gothick porch that features battlements and is accessed by three steps leading to an arched opening.
The right gable has a 2-light casement window in the attic, while the left gable has a similar window and a gabled porch leading to another six-panel door. At the back, there is a continuous lean-to that includes a 2-light window for the cheese-room above a 3-light window. The upper floor windows have leading. Inside, there is a large 19th-century fireplace at the entrance end and some heavy chamfered beams in the lean-to section.
