Description
Dozmary Cottage is a small house located on a street corner in Painswick, dated 1785 on a panel in the gable that faces the street, though it likely has an earlier core that has been significantly modified. The building is constructed of squared coursed rubble with rubble returns and features a concrete tile roof. It has two storeys and an attic. The front of the house includes a 2-light over 3-light recessed chamfer mullion casement window, each with a stopped hood, and to the right is a 20th-century glazed door with a gabled hood. On the right side of the building, there is a 2-light casement window. A gable stack is located at the rear. Although modest, the cottage is situated on an important street corner and retains some historic fabric in the main gable. It was formerly known as Ivy Cottage.
