Description
Ladbarrow Farm is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century, likely altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof, featuring ashlar stacks and two 20th-century stone stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and is two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by three hipped two-light roof dormers. The symmetrical facade has three bays, with two two-storey, five-light canted bays on either side of a central projecting gabled porch. The canted bays were probably added in the late 19th century. Above the porch is a three-light stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood. The porch features a plank door with fillets set within a flat-chamfered surround. A two-storey wing extends from the rear left, lit by two and three-light stone-mullioned casements, some of which have stopped hoods. There is a 19th-century plank door within a flat-chamfered surround and another 19th-century plank door with fillets set within a basket-headed surround. The gable ends have flat coping and stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
