Description

This is an early 19th-century lodge, built as an entrance feature to Sherborne House. The lodge is constructed of ashlar and has a slate roof with ashlar stacks. It follows a basically rectangular plan and has a two-storey facade with a pediment facing the drive. The front entrance features a 19th-century four-panel door set back within a shallow porch with a triangular pediment. Single slit windows flank the door, and there are two-light casement windows with glazing bars above and to the right-hand wall. The left-hand bay is set back, with a single-light casement window with glazing bars to the first floor. A blind single-light window, painted to resemble the others, is present on the ground floor. A single-storey extension is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
