Description

The Waine family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Bartholomew, approximately 11 meters east of the vestry. It dates from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a stepped plinth and has sunken panels on the sides and at both ends. Above the inscription, there is a frieze decorated with rosettes. Each corner of the tomb is adorned with quarter balusters that have foliate decoration. The capping has a moulded margin, which is now badly eroded, and there is a hipped upper capping stone. Some of the inscriptions are partly legible.
