Description

PAINSWICK SO 8610/8710 6/6 Stable building about 11 metres south of Hill Farmhouse (formerly listed as Hill Farmhouse including Stable 21.10.55 Buildings)

GV II Detached stable block. Possibly C18. Coursed and squared limestone, corrugated asbestos roof. Two storeys, 3 bays. Facing the farmhouse (qv) a central plank door; on right return door at ground floor and to loft; left return a 2-light C19 chamfer-mullion casement with iron lattice glazing. Within are remains of a blocked opening on a long wall, possibly the Venetian type window referred to in the former listing.
