Description

The Hooper Monument is a chest tomb located about 7 meters south-south-west of the south door in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It commemorates Arthur Hooper, who died in 1671. The tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with moulded capping, although no plinth is visible. The ends and sides have plain sunk panels that are divided into two sections. An inscription can be found on the west side of the monument.
