Description
The Hooper monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 19 meters south of the tower of the Church of St. James. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of pennant stone. The tomb features recessed rectangular plaques on each side, which are flanked by urns set in arched recesses. It has a moulded base and a ridged capstone. On the south side, there is an inscription dedicated to M. Hooper, who died in 1842.
