Description
The barn located to the northeast of Court Close Farmhouse dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone, featuring stone tiles on the west side range and concrete tiles on the main range. The barn has flush quoins and includes a main section with an east side lean-to that has a cart entry, as well as a lean-to addition on the left with an elliptical stone arched south entry.
To the northeast, there is a two-storey wing with open cattle stalls on the north side. The west side of the barn has a parallel range; to the left, there is a slightly set back cart entry with two ventilation loops positioned above. To the right, there is a three-storey section with two windows, an upper ventilation loop, a first-floor loading door and window, and a ground floor window and door. Outside stairs lead to the south end, which features dove openings in the gable. The south gable aligns with the south gable of the main barn, suggesting that they were built at the same time.
