Description

Chestnut Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of ashlar and coursed rubble stone, topped with a stone tiled valley roof featuring coped gables and four end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double depth plan. It features a three-window range of two-light ovolo-moulded mullion windows with dripstones, along with a central door that is accessed through a later porch. The south front includes a gabled timber porch, while the north front has a 20th-century trellis porch.
