Description
This building is a barn and stable range located to the west of Chestnut Cottage, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features stone tiled roofs. The barn on the east side has a datestone marked SC 1780, a coped north gable, an upper loading door, a ground floor double door, a ventilation loop, and an additional door. The stable, which is attached at the southwest angle, has a hipped roof and a central east gable with a window above two plain cart entries. The left wing of the stable includes casements on each side of a stable door, while the right wing contains two open stalls supported by a central round pier.
